Bio
Suzanne Brandyn was born on the edge of the outback of NSW, Australia. She pursued life from the hot, red dust of cattle country to cities and small country towns. She has mustered sheep on a horse and a motorbike, spotlighted for foxes and learned to shoot a rifle, dived the Great Barrier Reef and surrounding islands, speared fish, swam with sharks and dolphins, avoided sea snakes and moray eels, and taken free rides on sea turtles.
'A word from Suzanne'
You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl.
I guess that's why there has always been two sides to me. One as described above and the other having a tendency to be drawn to the dazzle of a city. The tug has always been prevalent. Currently I live in a small, coastal country town with a population of 2.200 people. The nearest town is half an hour away, and the nearest city over two and a half hours by car. I drive a lot, and use this time to plot and think about my current manuscript, or about writing in general.
I frequent my place of birth in rural Australia as often as I can. The air seems to bring an inner peace and the people treat you as though you have never left. They say there is no place like home. I agree. That is if I can keep my feet still long enough and not have one boot over the mountain, or the other stilettoed foot tapping away in a city.

  2. Sounds great, Suzanne! I'm due to release a novel in July that focuses on North East Victoria and the horse breeding world in Australia. It's great to discover another Aussie author who writes about what they've experienced!
