So there I was. Standing on the curb in front of a bakery waiting for a man who--according to his profile picture--had luxurious facial hair. Luckily, I didn’t have to wait long, but when he approached I was horrified to discover that--you guessed it--he’d SHAVED IT ALL OFF. Now, I’m not petty enough to walk away (you know, except for the fact that I felt LIED TO), so we went inside and had what I can only describe as one of the WORST deli sandwiches I have ever had. He was nice, funny, straight-forward, so I let him take me over to Starbucks for a coffee where we proceeded to sit and talk until three in the morning. (In the parking lot for most of it). By this point, I’m pretty glad I didn't walk away, especially when he tells me he shaved it off because of a Halloween costume he went all out for.
Sparks fly, and as each moment passes, I’m even happier I didn’t duck down and disappear back into my car.
I’m even more glad now because we’ve been married for a decade, have three kids, and he has the most luxurious beard I’ve ever seen.
What would you have done? Are you a fan of beard-iful men?
