NICE to end with a GREAT review

This was a strange book. But not in a bad way! In one of those, “I totally was not expecting that” kind of way. And more specifically, the book itself. Like I didn’t expect it to be as dark and different it was, but it was enjoyable!

This books deals with situations likes cyber bullying and catfishing but with middle aged adult women, something you would not expect.

The writing in this book is spectacular. It is probably one of the most surprising and well written books I have read in a long time.

I can’t really say I was surprised by the character of Anne. I had pretty much figured she wasn’t sunshine and rainbows but it was interesting to see the story play out.

I actually enjoyed this book a lot.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

 Love it or hate it we all saw it!  I am a huge fan of Audrey Tautou  my favorite Tautou movie is God is Great I am not .

I was very familiar with the Sang Real / Holy Blood /Holy Grail principle, so that aspect of the story was not what impacted me. I read the book and I found the way the "historical" past was incorporated into the film very clever.

It was Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel and it was made into a film several times since the book was released in 1953 not all as serious as you would think.

Espionage, action and adventure... what is not to like, in the A-Z challenge this may well be one of several BOND films.

 The first was a 1954 episode of the CBS television series Climax! with Barry Nelson as CIA agent "Jimmy Bond".

 

The first Casino Royale film was a 1967 spoof with David Niven playing "Sir James Bond".

B ~ BEACHES

 

 B is for BEACHES

I went to the cinema with a friend in Atlanta to see BEACHES and we only had one Kleenex.. we tore it in half and laughed and cried, I think at one point I had to use my sleeve! I watched it several times and with other friends... a total GAL-PAL film. I still get choked up with the theme song and I am A HUGE Bette Midler fan.

In 1989 I was as fascinated by the special effects as the idea that aliens may well be at the bottom of our waters. The storyline and every character complimented this as still one of my favorite Sci-Fi Flicks. THE ABYSS was a movie that impacted my imagination and curiosity.
